Therefore, each AKG C314 pair is composed of two perfectly matched individual microphones. How are the microphones matched? The Set is determined using a sophisticated computer algorithm that compares the measured values of thousands of microphones. The two C314 microphones matched in this way differ from each other by less than 1 dB in terms of both sensitivity and individual frequency response for cardioid polar patterns between 300 Hz and 8 kHz. Each stereo set comes with a measurement report for both microphones to prove these specifications. These are the prerequisites for breathtaking, three-dimensional recordings. When used for stereo recordings, the result is a good and robust balance without frequency-dependent shifts in the panorama.
