A further revised input stage with very low distortion and noise values provides a clean pre-amplification and up to 62dB. For the output balancing Black Lion Audio has installed a transformer of the American traditional manufacturer Cinemag, which gives the signal a certain fatness. On the front are 2 TRS jacks, which can be fed with line or instrument signals. The Auteur MkIII is excellent in addition to a good audio interface and offers a clearly audible improvement in recording quality compared to most interface preamps. Due to the attractive price-performance ratio, it is also interesting for the construction of a high-quality multi-channel setup.
