Delay effect pedal, stereo, authentic sound of a tape delay, additional reverb, MIDI, USB-C Delay effect pedal with the authentic simulation of a tape echo machine Effect pedal for electric guitar, made in the USA. Delivers the authentic sound of traditional tape echo machines Powerful ARM processor for studio-quality delay effects Analog Class A JFET preamp Three simulations of classic tape machines (Fixed Head, Multi Head, Single Head) with three modes each Mix control determines the ratio of effect and clean input signal Time control for the delay until the onset of the delay Repeats control determines the number of echoes Tape Age control for the age of the simulated recording tape Wow&Flutter knob for adding simulated equal oscillations Spring control adds simulation of a spring reverb Tap Tempo function to adjust delay time Live Edit mode for adjusting additional effect parameters Full MIDI compatibility Input jack can be used in mono or Stereo Stereo outputs EXP/MIDI jack for connecting optionally available footswitches and expression pedals or controlling the pedal via MIDI (requires optionally available adapter cable) USB-C jack for USB MIDI and firmware updates True or buffered bypass Compact metal housing Power supply included Two switches and six knobs allow you to quickly and intuitively adjust the Strymon El Capistan V2 dTape Echo. Effect pedal with authentic tape echo sound With the Strymon El Capistan V2 dTape Echo, the Californian effect tinkerers present the next generation of their highly sought-after "Digital Tape Echo" effect pedal, which not only simulates classic tape echo sounds and the typical peculiarities of analogue technology with unsurpassed detail, but also comes up with extended setting options and full MIDI support. While the analogue Class A JFET preamp promises an unadulterated output of the clean input signal, the powerful ARM processor in the center of the circuitry ensures top-class echoes in studio quality, no matter or crisp slap-back setting or experimental delay landscape. Three different sounds At the heart of Strymon's El Capistan V2, three different simulations of echoing tape recorders, each ready in three flavours, provide a particularly diverse range of timbres, from crisp slap-back echoes to epic delay lines to an experimental ambient experience. The "Fixed" setting controls the Delay-Zeit via the speed of the simulated tape, with recording heads mounted at fixed intervals causing the echoes to sound at specific intervals. The "Multi Head" setting, on the other hand, makes the echoes appear in a certain rhythm by using several simulated recording heads. Last but not least, the "Single" setting varies the Delay-Zeit by placing the simulated pickup at a constant tape speed. Precise adjustment options In order to be able to precisely adjust the sound character, Strymon equips the El Capistan V2 dTape Echo with extensive control options. While the Time and Repeats control to influence the Delay-Zeit...
