Optimal speaker operation Amphion's own AMP700 stereo power amplifier is recommended for optimum operation of the speakers, but you can also connect the speakers to any other high-quality power amplifier of your choice. Closed design for optimum phase fidelity The Amphion One 15 high-end 2-way passive nearfield monitor from Finnish manufacturer Amphion features a 5¼" woofer, a high-performance titanium tweeter, a high-density Corian waveguide and a sealed cabinet with a passive sound membrane on the rear. The One 15 is a very natural-sounding monitor which, thanks to its linear frequency response and high impulse response, ensures transparent and unadulterated sound reproduction and is ideal for the objective assessment of audio material, e.g. during mastering or in post-production. It is characterized in particular by the fact that it causes the listening room to vibrate very little. This is due to the high phase accuracy of the closed housing and the very narrow dispersion angle. Compared to the One 18 or Two 18, the One 15 have a shorter low-frequency range, so they are best used in combination with a pair of main monitors as secondary monitors.
