It is operated intuitively via hardware buttons and a modern OLED display. In the module itself are 40 preconfigured kits available, as well as space for 128 user presets. You can choose from over 400 sounds when creating them. Thanks to 3D Sonic image, the respective ambient sound can also be mixed in via the Ambient control. With the wav recorder, recordings can be made directly in the module in real time. Alternatively, recordings can be made directly in the preferred DAW via the integrated USB interface or the MIDI connection. To make it sound as desired, each pad can be provided with a compressor and/or a parametric 3-band equalizer while the Output can also be processed with a compressor as well as a parametric 4-band equalizer. 12 types reverb and 9 multi-effects as well as the aforementioned room sound come on top. A Bluetooth connection for audio and MIDI is also on board as well as a metronome with tap function. By using 6.3 mm jack sockets as trigger inputs, the Gewa G5 is compatible with most commercially available pads. For the most popular models there are even own trigger settings as presets.
