In doing so, it not only fills the gap between the largest and smallest models in Yamaha's new speaker series but also provides even more flexibility at the same time. As Yamaha's first dedicated floor monitor, it impresses with distortion-free and always perfectly phase-true levels of up to 129 dB, despite its low profile. The DHR12M combines a 1000-watt amplifier and high-performance DSP with the same plywood construction used in Yamaha's high-end DZR speaker series to deliver premium sound quality and durability. In addition, the speaker is equalized using state-of-the-art DSP and offers two different frequency response presets for use as FoH PA or floor monitor. A switchable high-pass filter furthermore provides effective and intuitive bass management when used in difficult environments or for operation with additional subwoofers. Mixer on board The DHR12M not only impresses with the concentrated power of its Class D power amplifier, but also requires no additional technical equipment at all for small events. The built-in mixer allows the connection of two signal sources, whereby input one with an XLR/TRS combo jack is even equipped for the direct connection of microphones. Input two also has a flexible combo jack for balanced cabling and is happy to accept line sources of any kind - even stereo sources can be connected via additional RCA inputs.
