The semi-hollow construction with a solid center block offers a warm resonance and pleasant tonal qualities. Traditional semi-hollow construction To give the G2622 Streamliner a warm sound with a pleasantly woody resonance, Gretsch relies on the traditional semi-hollow construction. The standard-sized body, top, back and sides are made of multi-layer maple laminate and stabilized by a spruce center block so that no feedback disturbs the sound even at high volumes. The glued Nato neck in the "Thin U" profile also promises pleasant playing characteristics in all positions of the Indian Laurel fingerboard. Using the push/pull master volume control, the Gretsch Streamliner can be coaxed into a shimmering single-coil sound with the coil split function.
