It features 8 motorized faders, 8 touch-sensitive knobs, and 8 high-resolution LCD TFT colour screens each for visual control. For easy navigation, the UF8 offers a versatile master knob that can be used to either navigate the session, select tracks or simulate a mouse wheel. 40 freely assignable keys (sorted into 5 banks of 8 keys each) complemented by 3 "Quick" keys can be assigned to specific shortcuts as desired. This makes the controller easy to adapt to any DAW and workflow. SSL 360° for Mac and PC The adaptation of the many possibilities of the SSL UF8 to the respective requirements of the user and the corresponding DAW happens via the SSL 360° software. Here, shortcuts can be assigned and respective setups for different DAWs can be saved as presets. Changes made are automatically saved in the background and can be recalled as needed. Multiple cascadable, iLok and master keyboard connected via USB Thru If the 8 channels are no longer sufficient, up to 4 UF8s can be connected to each other via the USB Thru on the rear panel. Furthermore, the USB Thru can also provide a safe place for the iLok, or serve as a port for the Master keyboard, for example.
