Active 3-way studio monitor for near/midfield applications - Left speaker The Dynaudio LYD-48 3-Way Near/Mid-Field Studio Reference Monitor White Left (Single) is a professional personal-reference monitor with a new 3-way design. The LYD-48 comprises of an 8" woofer, a 4" midrange woofer and a 1" soft-dome tweeter. The drivers are Dynaudios' custom hand-made non-fatiguing drivers, each powered by a dedicated state-of-the-art Class D amplifier. The amp delivers 80W to the 8", 50W to the 4" and 50W to the 1" tweeter. It has a 96 kHz/24bit signal path, selectable input sensitivity and a 'Standby Mode' to reduce power usage when silent. The monitor also has a 'Bass Extension' option that allows you to extend or curtail the low frequency response by 10Hz when needed. This feature gives you the choice to run the speaker as loud as possible (+10Hz/+5dB) or as deep as possible (-10Hz/-5dB). The third option of 0Hz is the default factory setting and all settings will not influence the linearity of the frequency response, so your mix remains pure. The 'Position Control' changes the monitors tuning presets for when the unit is positioned by a wall or freestanding, which provides a more balanced response, whatever the position may be. The 'Sound Balance Control' is used to influence the frequency response by using a 'Tilt-Filter' that lifts 20 kHz by 1.5dB, while lowering 20Hz by 1.5dB (Bright) and the other way round (Dark). The monitor has connectivity taken care of with XLR and RCA inputs. This version is the 'Left Side' with a white cabinet finish. Image for illustrative purposes only (Right Version Shown).
